Ophthalmologists needed for IVI digital support program

Are you an Ophthalmologist who can provide feedback on an IVI digital support program? MDFA is partnering with Atlantis Health to develop a patient support plan to help people who require sight-saving intravitreal injections for their macular disease.

Earlier this year we conducted research with people who are receiving – or have stopped receiving – injections for macular disease. The research showed people understand the importance of ongoing treatment to keep their sight. But they also told us they want to know more about their diagnosis, how to live optimally with their disease, and how to overcome barriers to adherence. That’s where we can help.

Patients receive excellent care when they see their Ophthalmologist for treatment. Our patient support program aims to be there for them in between those visits, equipping them with greater health literacy, promoting treatment adherence, and connecting them with emotional and practical support and information resources that can help reduce the risk of disease progression.

As an Ophthalmologist, your expertise will be vital in helping us evaluate the digital support plan we are creating. We are looking for five ophthalmologists to participate; if you can give up to one hour of your time for a focus group, we would love to hear from you. Email us at [email protected] and we can give you more information and register your interest in prototype testing.
