    Learning objectives

    Upon completion of this CPD activity participants understand clinical risk factors and diabetic retinopathy severity grading; to understand the role of imaging in the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy and in guiding management decisions and to understand the management of diabetic retinopathy including the role of risk factor control, laser, intravitreal injections and surgical treatment.

    About the presenters

    Dr Amy Cohen

    Dr Amy Cohen is a consultant ophthalmologist and medical retina specialist with research interests in macular degeneration. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia.

    Dr David Fabinyi

    Dr David Fabinyi is a consultant ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon with appointments at Geelong University Hospital and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

    Dr Peter van Wijngaarden

    Dr Peter van Wijngaarden, is an ophthalmologist and medical researcher with interests in diabetic retinopathy and retinal imaging. He is Deputy Director of the Centre for Eye Research Australia, an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Melbourne and Clinical Director of KeepSight.
