This webinar, hosted by MDFA with Dr Angelica Ly, looks at the role of your optometrist in managing age-related macular degeneration.

The webinar covers frequently asked questions about visiting an optometrist. We also examine the roles of orthoptists and ophthalmologists and how they may contribute to your treatment and care. Dr Ly also considers what is “best-practice” in age-related macular degeneration?

Dr Ly has a passion for ocular imaging technologies, collaborative care and clinical research. Her PhD thesis was entitled “Multimodal imaging in age-related macular degeneration” and she has had a number of peer-reviewed papers published in leading journals. She teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is a clinical and research supervisor. Dr Ly has also been invited to present at both Australian-based optometry conferences and international conferences, including ARVO and the American Academy of Optometry conference.
