    Nutrition and lifestyle video series

You can reduce your risk of sight loss from macular disease with simple lifestyle changes.

Taking action to prevent sight loss

While there are some risk factors you can’t control, diet and lifestyle play an important role in macular health.

Exercise and the right nutrition can optimise macular health. So an eye-healthy diet and active lifestyle is important in reducing the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Diet and exercise also help control diabetes, which can lead to diabetic eye disease.

It’s also important to prioritise your eye health with regular eye exams. And if you notice any sudden changes in your vision, see your eye health professional straight away.

The nutrition and lifestyle for eye health video series answers some of the common questions we receive.
