    Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the most common macular disease in Australia and the leading cause of preventable blindness in Australians over 50 years of age.

    While there is currently no cure, there is a very effective treatment for wet AMD and the progression of dry AMD can be slowed through changes in lifestyle.
