Diabetes is a complex, chronic condition characterised by high blood glucose (sugar) levels. In the long term, diabetes can affect many parts of the body including your eyes, largely because of changes to the blood vessels.

This flyer gives you a summary of diabetes and the associated diabetic eye diseases. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the most common type of eye disease experienced by people with diabetes but the flyer also covers other diabetic eye diseases as well as the importance of eye exams.

The flyer can be downloaded, viewed online or ordered for free.
