Managing eye health and vision loss in RACFs: A resource for management and health professionals

Many people living in residential aged care facilities (RACFs) have poor vision and some may even be blind.

A comprehensive study by the Macular Disease Foundation Australia (MDFA) found high rates of eye disease, often under-diagnosed and untreated in RACFs.

This pamphlet is part of a suite of resources designed to improve understanding of eye health and vision loss in Australia’s RACFs. It is designed to provide residential aged care facilities with general information about eye health and vision loss, and is targeted to help RACF management and health professionals in particular.
