    About the presenters

    Associate Professor Geraldine Moses

    A/Prof Geraldine Moses is a doctor of clinical pharmacy specialising in drug information. As well as providing a national drug information advisory service called “Pharma-Advice” for members of the Australian Dental Association, Geraldine also works part-time in the Academic Practice Unit of the Mater Public Hospital in Brisbane and is Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy, University of Queensland. Geraldine is well known amongst her profession and has received many awards including in 2002 she was named Australian Pharmacist of the Year. And in 2013 she received ADAQ’s Medal of Merit for services to the dental profession as a non-dentist. Geraldine was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2019 for her work in medicines information and education.

    Dr David Hilford

    After a career as a secondary school science/mathematics teacher, Dr David Hilford completed his medical degrees at the University of Queensland in 1997, and was awarded the Lilian Cooper Memorial Prize (Dux of the Course) and The University Medal. Following his residency, he completed Ophthalmology training in Brisbane. He spent two further years undertaking Retinal Fellowships in Auckland, New Zealand, and at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, United Kingdom. Dr Hilford has subspecialist vitreo-retinal clinics in Brisbane and Toowoomba. Dr Hilford is a member of the Macular Disease Foundation Australia Medical Committee.
