    Finding help with your vision loss: webinar

    This webinar is part of MDFA's community education series.

    This webinar provides an overview of common eye conditions and their impact on vision. It discusses the impact of vision loss on daily living activities and supportive strategies, aids, equipment and technology. It also provides information on when and how to seek support services.

    The webinar is hosted by MDFA and is part of our community education series. It’s presented by Nabill Jacob, the Clinical Relationship Manager at Vision Australia.

    Mr Jacob has held posts of senior orthoptist at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and corneal transplant coordinator at the Save Sight Institute at Sydney Eye Hospital.

    His interests lie in the advancement of services and clinical understanding in the area of low vision and blindness. He conducts accredited CPD sessions on low vision for ophthalmic registrars, orthoptists, optometrists, general practitioners and allied health professionals. He has also published low vision case studies in medical and optical journals. Mr Jacob is currently on the steering committee of the NSW Health Department’s Agency for Clinical Innovation (Ophthalmology Network), a project developing a resource for staff at public hospitals to enhance their understanding of the needs and treatment of patients who are vision impaired.
