Government Programs
Some government programs provide subsidies for low vision aids and technologies, based on a person’s individual circumstances. To find out whether you are eligible for subsidies, contact the following government agencies directly.
1. National Programs:
- People under the age of 65 years old: National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- People aged 65 years or over: My Aged Care
- Veterans and their spouses: Department of Veterans' Affairs
2. State and territory aids and equipment programs:
- ACT: ACT Low Vision Aids Scheme
- NSW: EnableNSW
- NT: Disability Equipment Program
- QLD: Medical Aids Subsidy Scheme
- SA: Equipment Program
- TAS: TasEquip
- VIC: State-wide Equipment Program
- WA: Community Aids and Equipment Program
