An essential home monitoring tool for anyone at risk of, or diagnosed with, age-related macular degeneration.

    Amsler grid

If you’ve been diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration, you should monitor your vision daily with an Amsler grid.

An Amsler grid is also recommended for people with epiretinal membranes, central serous chorioretinopathy and vitreomacular traction syndrome.

If you’re over 50 or in one of the high risk categories for age-related macular degeneration, Macular Disease Foundation Australia recommends weekly monitoring.

Monitoring with an Amsler grid does not replace regular checks of the macula by an eye health professional.

Our Amsler grids are magnetised so they can be kept on the fridge.
