Vision Australia launches Quality Living Program
Vision Australia has a support service called the Quality Living Program, which provides support to people with low vision and is led by a trained facilitator.
The Quality Living Group programs enable clients to break the isolation and confidence barriers of vision loss. The Quality Living Program offers short term, confidential group interaction where members discuss common issues of home life and the attitudes of partners and friends. They also often deal with issues such as shopping, dining out, transport and using adaptive technology.
This is a free program for people who are blind or have low vision, their family and carers. Quality Living Groups can be conducted face to face from some local Vision Australia offices, or by telephone Australia wide, where you can participate from the comfort and security of your own home by calling 1300 84 74 66 and asking for a Quality Living Group facilitator in your area.
