The Hon. Linda Burney, NSW Minister for Volunteering Thanks the Volunteers at the Macular Degeneration Foundation
The NSW Minister for Volunteering, the Hon. Linda Burney, joined Chairman Ms. Elizabeth Carr, Patron Ita Buttrose, volunteers, staff and supporters in celebrating the festive season at the MD Foundation Christmas party.
Minister Burney addressed the guests about the value and worth of volunteering and presented each volunteer with a certificate of appreciation for their wonderful work and their contribution to the health of the community.
The Minister expressed her sincere thanks to the MD Foundation volunteers for their work in reducing the incidence and impact of Macular Degeneration in Australia through the national office in Sydney.
Volunteers attend the Foundation and pack resources for education tours, provide data entry skills, phone work and administrative support and fundraising support for our annual dinner. The Foundation could not provide these extensive services without the support of the volunteers. If you would like to become a volunteer contact the Foundation on 1800 111 709.
