Bequests

Planning your estate not only allows you to provide for family and loved ones but also gives you the opportunity to support causes that are close to your heart. Leaving a bequest offers you the chance to make a positive impact on generations to come,

To leave a bequest to the MD Foundation please consult your legal practitioner when writing your Will. It is also possible to make an addition to an existing Will by including an addition, known as a codicil.

When making a Bequest to the Foundation we suggest the following wording;

• For a Specific Bequest
  I Give and Bequeath to the Macular Degeneration Foundation Limited (ABN 52 096 255 17), in aid of that the Foundation and for its general purposes, the sum of $............................ for which the receipt of the Treasurer or other officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor for the Bequest.
  
  
• For a Residual Bequest
  I Bequeath to the Macular Degeneration Foundation Limited (ABN 52 096 255 17), in aid of that the Foundation and for its general purposes, the rest and residue of my Estate, for which the receipt of the Treasurer or other officer shall be sufficient discharge to my Executor for the Bequest.
  
  
• A Codicil – Amendment to your Will
  If you have already made your Will, you may like to add a Codicil – an amendment to your Will – which sets out your instructions for a bequest to the Macular Degeneration Foundation Limited (ABN 52 096 255 177)
